Extension Counter of National Institute for the empowerment of persons with visual disabilities (NIEPVD), Dehradun (Earlier NIVH)

The Chandigarh & Punjab branch of NAB has created a landmark for service to the visually challenged by starting NIVH Extension Counter at Karuna Sadan with effect from May 2010. All the material including Braille papers, magazines, low vision kits, Braille books and recorded CD’s are now available in Chandigarh at the same price as listed with NIVH. This facility has benefited all visually challenged in Chandigarh, Haryana, Himachal, J & K and Punjab who had to go to Dehradun for this purpose. This service will be made available at Ludhiana also.
